THE FEMME FATALE PRESTIGE CLASS

By Tim Hartin

Carol Forman as the Black Widow

The femme fatale is a strong willed, stunning woman who manipulates men for her own pleasure and desires. She has no qualms about killing any of her "playthings" once they outlive their usefulness. The femme fatale may be of any nationality, perhaps a mastermind of a criminal organization, or even the chief henchmen for another villain. A man will never know exactly where he stands when encountering a femme fatale. She is a master of all of her emotions. While she may tell you that she loves you, she could be readying a dagger to plunge in your back. The femme fatale is often very beautiful, but may be hidously disfigured (hidden by a mask naturally), but she always exudes sensuality. Sex and danger are her stock and trade.

Game Rule Information
Femme Fatales have the following game statistics.
Abilities: Charisma and Intelligence are necessary for a femme fatale to successfully charm and manipulate her victims. A high Dexterity and Wisdom can also benefit a femme fatale.
Vitality: 1d6 plus Constitution modifier per level.

Class Features
All of the following are class features of the femme fatale.
Infamy: A femme fatale gains reputation as other characters do, but their reputation are infamous, inspiring fear rather than respect. It works as same as the Gangster ability of the same name.
Savoir-faire: The femme fatale's natural grace and charm easily allows her to befriend men. She also gains a +2 synergy bonus on all Charisma based skill checks when dealing with the opposite sex. This ability works the same as the Charm Person spell. Even though this ability mimics a magical spell, this ability is not magical in nature (you could say it is more about psychology than magic). Caster level equals femme fatale level, save vs. DC 11 + Cha bonus.
Sex Appeal: A femme fatale gains this feat for free at first level.
Weapon Proficiencies: The femme fatale begins play with the following feats: Weapon Proficiency (simple), and Weapon Proficiency (pistols).
Underworld Contact: At 2nd level and six levels thereafter, the femme fatale gains a new contact in the Underworld. It works as the Gangster ability of the same name.
Bonus Feat: At 3rd level, and every four levels thereafter, the femme fatale gains a new feat. These bonus feats may only be picked from the following list: Alertness, Fame, Improved Initiative, Neck Hairs Rise, Nimble, Persuasive, Secret Identity, Sharp Eyed, Skill Emphasis, Stealthy, and Steely Gaze.
Minions: At 6th level, the femme fatale gains the Minions feat for free.
Art of Seduction: At 9th level, the femme fatale has mastered the art of seduction. This ability works the same as the Suggestion spell. Even though this ability mimics a magical spell, this ability is not magical in nature (it is more about psychology than magic). Caster level equals femme fatale level, save vs. DC 13 + Cha bonus.
Skill Mastery: At 10th level, and every six levels thereafter, the femme fatale gains this ability. It functions as the Explorer ability of the same name.
Emotional Manipulation: At 17th level, the femme fatale has truly mastered the art of manipulating men to such a degree that she can pick and choose any single emotion to stimulate as she desires. This ability works the same as the Emotion spell. Even though this ability mimics a magical spell, this ability is not magical in nature (it is more about psychology than magic). Caster level equals femme fatale level, save vs. DC 15 + Cha bonus.
