Rex Kirby was an outgoing man all his life. He loved with sports, mountain climbing, and police work.
One day while climbing in the mountains Rex saw a plane crash nearby and he rushed to help any survivors.
When Rex reached the crash site, he found the wreckage completely unrecognizable. Fishing through the
wreckage for survivors he found only a green glowing tangle of cables and rock. Then he passed into unconciousness.
When Rex awoke three days later he was lying in a hospital bed completely changed. The hospital reported that he
was found lying at the main entrance unconcious and alone only a few hours after the crash. Over the next few days before
he awoke he grew a foot taller, and his skin thickened to the marble-like hide he has now. Over the next few days
he showed signs of massive strength as well.
Rex returned to the police force within another two weeks, adopting the code name Pillar. While any assignment
requiring his special abilities is given first priority, Rex is also happy to do his job writing tickets, talking
to school kids, and responding to routine calls.
Like most strongmen, Pillar only wears a pair of tight white shorts made of unstable molecules when he is working.
On his off hours he wears tailed Italian clothes.
