4. Psionics (Psychometry):  This magical talent allows Dr. Antiquity to learn something about the history of an inanimate object: general impressions, use, user's personality, etc. The user can always sense "vibes" from any object he holds, but it takes a conscious effort to make sense of these sensations. Range is touch only. It costs 4 PR and an action to use this power. Dr Antiquity must roll an Int check (d20) to determine what he senses. How much the character senses is based on how well he succeed the Int check. Usually a brief impression is gained; a success of 4 + is required for details. A roll of one will result in knowledge that goes back in years instead of the usual range of months.
5. Special Magical Weapon (ThunderBoots of Nanabosho, Legendary Ojibwe):  Super Leap: x3 Multiplier to a normal leap: Forward Leap: 18", Straight Up Leap: 9". Earthquake Stomp: Requires an action and a PR cost of 5. Range = End. The character stomps on the ground sending a shockwave towards the target. This shockwave attacks as Vibratory Powers and does 2d8 Damage. A successful hit also means the victim must make an Agl check (d20) or else fall down (an action would be required to stand up).
6. Special Magical Weapon (Vulcanus Malleus, Vulcan’s Hammer):  +3 to hit & HTH+1d10. Due to the nature of the original wielder, the hammer can create or destroy inanimate object. If the godly powers are invoked, the hammer will do the following:
        a. Creo (Create): Heals devices/items/Non-living objects by damage dealt. PR 2/use.
        b. Aboleo (Destroy): Attacks as Disintegration Power. All damage acts as disintegration damage. PR 2/use.

What is the color of the character's hair, eyes, and skin?
Samuel has green eyes, is a Caucasian of average complexion, and has brown hair in a moderate length. For what it’s worth, he stands at 5’11” tall.

What is the character's general appearace? Does the character stand erect or stooped? Dress anachronistically, stylishy, or inauspiciously? Look intimidating or casual? What might someone seeing the character for the first time think?
Samuel has an athletic but not overly burly built. He has always kept in shape through regular exercise. Since his induction into Division Zero, he has stepped up his exercise routine. While in costume and in possession of his gift-giving items, he gains an almost palpable aura of power about him. Without them and out of costume, he’s generally a fairly casual person. While at play, he likes to wear slacks or jeans with a shirt or t-shirt. When at work, he tends towards the business casual look, although he is not unaccustomed to the dark suit and tie outfits.
It is fairly hard to look stylish while your accessories are a piecemeal assortment of ancient artifacts. Regardless, Samuel knows that looks are important in his super heroic endeavors. His costume is mostly black and brown leather to keep with some of his items. The helmet has dual purposes: One is to mask his face, the other is to try and tie-in some of his accessories. It is made of plastic (with metalilic looking finish) and interlocking pieces that make it easy to fold into a wallet-size bundle.

Where was the character born?
        Montréal, Québec, Canada.

What is the character's age?
        34

What was the character's family life like?
Sam’s mother, Jane, died of breast cancer caught too late when he was 20 years old. Until that time, his mother was the link that tied the family together. The three men were always in competition of some sort. She kept the competitive tension between them under control. Scott, the father, was an active man and as well as an engineer, believed in having a sound mind and body. He kept both his sons active both sporting endeavors wise as well as scholarly ones.
Alan, Sam’s older brother, was always bigger and stronger. Although as the years passed, Alan and Sam grew into their personal styles. Al depended on his strength and Sam on his agility. Both excelled at scholastic duties. Alan followed his father’s path and became an engineer. Sam followed his own path.

Has the character begun his own family?
No. Neither he does he have a S.O. at the moment. Between his school and his research of the occult and his training at Division Zero. He has had little time to devote to a relationship.

When or how was the character educated?
As mentioned before, Sam got an excellent home education as well as one at school. He graduated his undergraduate in Archeology from McGill University, did his Masters at Queen’s Belfast, Scotland and his PHD at Tulane University, New Orleans Alabama. He is a doctorate of Archeology with over 10 published papers, collaborations as well as headed by him.

Has the character ever done anything else for a living?
He has had to have summer jobs to help subsidize his university expenditures. So his experience runs the usual gamut of retail job experiences. Otherwise, he has moved from the university environment to the Division.

What about the character's political and religious beliefs?
Sam’s views of religion and politics are severely affected by his own experiences and training. He’s used to decorticate ancient societies, their politics and religions. So his view of today’s government is somewhat jaded and detached. Since he works for an secret government agency only furthers the detached view he has towards the general public’s understanding of the government.
Since his experiences with the occult have changed his world view, he has had mixed feelings about religion. His belief is tainted by the fact that he knows that magic truly exists, but his understanding is constrained because it is an empathic connection to magic as opposed to a true understanding of it. He further compensates by devouring any scrap of information that he can gather on the subject. He distinguishes religion from god(s) or mystical entities very clearly.

What is the character's moral code?
While he is not a boy scout, his moral code is fairly strait laced to begin with. His magical talent has affected his moral fiber. If he senses a powerful emotion or a powerful personality, he may exhibit some those traits for a very short time. All the items that he has incorporated have affected his views to some degree. Each new magical items he gathers will probably affect him in some way.

Does the character have any goals?
He views problems as challenges that he needs to overcome. He can become intimidating in his relentless pursuit of success. To be able to fully control and understand this strange power that has affected his life so deeply. To further his understanding of what he perceives as magic. It is his most important personal challenge at this time.

What is the character's personality?
Generally friendly, he is self-confident, assured, rational. Quick with a smile, he keeps his emotions under check. His emotional side only truly comes out through his psychometry, if a little undisciplined.

What special qualities does the character possess? This doesn't necessarily refer to skills, but to what the character can do well. Does he get along well with other people? Is he skilled at taking care of business? Prioritizing tasks? Planning ahead?
He is methodical in his research. He has a quick mind and good common sense. He is skilled at keeping everything in perspective. He is an excellent amateur cook.

Are there certain things the character just cannot do? Get close to people? Perceive himself realistically?
There is no true reason for this. Is it because of his mother’s death? Is it because of his lack of emotional control with his psychometry? He has a hard time letting people close to him. He is definitely a people person.

What does the character hate?
Unfair situations. People playing with ‘loaded dice’. A challenge should be won through skill and determination.

What does the character love?
Learning and understanding. Excelling or surmounting a challenge. His psychometric powers, truly enjoys embracing those emotions or experiences (and extension of learning).

What is the character's full name? Nicknames?
Samuel Scott Simmons. Dr Antiquity. Sam

Who are the Character’s contacts?
WebCrawler is Sam’s Mission Controller, another Division Zero operative. There is also Franco Campana, a somewhat shady character who can find information on hard to find objects and the objects themselves. It was through Franco that Sam acquired the Malleus.

How does the character interact with other members of the group? Are they protective of some members? Has the character developed a rivalry with another character? Are there any romantic interests the character would like to pursue?
Dunno at this point. Friendly and good natured. No romantic interests planned at this time.

How did the character gain his abilities? What was his first reaction? What motivates him to act as a hero now?
It was odd, but hardly surprising come to think of it. He was always attracted to old things. Old objects. He always liked handling heirlooms, even as a child (to the great dismay of his parents). This grew into devotion to learn how thinks became and eventually his love for archeology. During his late teens, he went to a museum as part of a high school outing. As he passed by objects after objects, he would steal a little touch here and another there. He finally came over a piece of an ancient pickaxe. He felt oddly attracted to it. He touched it and was overcome with a vision of working in a field, enjoying the hard work, knowing that the results will come as assuredly as the work that will be needed to accomplish this. [This is not English?!]. He turns and to see his lord’s soldiers coming towards him.
[No! Not again!] Fear and loathing washes over the contentment that was there mere seconds before.
"SAM! What’s wrong!", Sam sees his face in the reflection of a nearby mirror, he sees the farmer’s fear and loathing etched in his features. He shakes his head and continues on. “I’m fine”, he says. As he continues, Sam views the objects around him in a new light.
He can see that some objects are more charged than others.
Later he learned that not only does he have a talent with sensing the history of an object, but also he can harness the power of some objects. He managed to gather a large contingent of extremely powerful items as during his university years. Each degree gave him opportunities to be exposed to some (strangely discarded) objects that were truly powerful. During his undergraduate term in Montréal, he was gained the ThunderBoots. His master’s degree allowed him to get in contact with the Armbands and the Stone Ring. Lastly, his PHD at Tulane gave him access to the Pendant and the Vulcanus Malleus, his godly items.
These last items gave him a different perspective on life, the belief that he might be meant for something more. This was when he was approached by a Division Zero Operative.
